Halved CPA on a stalled ad account

Revitalising Orionsupps' Sales with Creator ads

Overview: Orionsupps makes a genuinely superior product: better-tasting, nutrient-dense protein shakes with a loyal following. But a good product doesn't guarantee a working ad account. Sales had plateaued, and the stall was sharpest exactly where it hurt most: the high-AOV large packs, the SKU that should move the margin wasn’t because of high CPAs. The demand was there but the creative to unlock it wasn't.

Challenge: The account was starved of fresh creative. Without a steady supply of new assets, weekly Meta testing ground to a halt and when you can't test, you can't find winners. Performance flatlined not because the ads were bad, but because there weren't enough new ones to iterate towards something great. Producing that volume through traditional shoots would have meant real upfront cost with no guarantee of return.

The approach

We started where Skylance always starts: the ad account, not the camera. Before seeding a single product, we audited what was already running and where the account was leaking which angles had fatigued, which SKUs needed the push, what a winning creative would actually need to do.

The answer was creator ads:

  • Product seeding to fitness influencers, generating 30+ pieces of creator content unboxings, testimonials, high-quality visuals. The model flipped the economics: creative volume without the high production overhead.

  • A testing pipeline, not a content dump. The point of 30+ assets isn't 30+ posts,  it's 30+ shots at a winner. We fed the content into Meta as a structured testing programme, running variants weekly to find what converted rather than guessing.

  • Scale the winners, kill the rest. Once a creative proved out, spend went behind it. The creative volume meant we were never short of the next thing to test when a winner fatigued and the account stayed fed.

That's the difference between "we got you some UGC" and a performance creative system. The content is the raw material; the testing loop is what turns it into results.

The results

The system did exactly what it was built to do. A steady pipeline of fresh, testable creative revived a stalled account and moved the numbers that matter:

  • 50% uplift in sales, with the recovery concentrated on the high-AOV packs that had been stuck.

  • 53% drop in CPA,the direct payoff of testing into genuine winners instead of running tired creative. Acquisition got roughly twice as efficient.

  • 30+ diverse assets created, a library that kept the account supplied well beyond the first winning ad.
